I was cynical about this until I understood who it was aimed at...and then when I tried it. Deliciously tactile and a lot of fun it will be a gateway for a lot of folks who are intimidated by or just dislike music technology. It’s also highlighted the pretty nasty and snide side of a portion of the music tech fan base sadly, but at least they’re easier to spot now. Eh chaps :)

The cat sound toy is not 300 but 500 euros on their site, which is ridiculous for such a gimmick. It’s a shame, they have cool designs but keep recycling the same basic ideas. They stop at the concept and don’t fully realize the potential. Almost always the same circuit bent packaged in different forms.

I'm sorry but this was an awful music example. In the end it's the music that matters. Over complicated. Non intuitive. Good for blip blop music genre.

I bought an Electra One some time ago and I am super happy. This is the best MIDI controller I know. It can handle all MIDI messages, Sysex, CC, NRPN and everything else. In addition, you can use the script language LUA to program things in the background. Getting one parameter to change another parameter is no problem. The four effects units in the Behringer Deepmind 12 for example are very advanced. But Electra can handle it. If you change a parameter using Electra, the parameter is updated in the synth, effects unit or whatever it is you are sending messages to. If you update the parameter in the synth, it is updated in Electra. A two way system. Also, the support is the best I've seen.

One of those little gems. I miss it already. Was very intuitive to play around.

There were two points I forgot to say that I wanted to share: 1) I think expressive controllers are all so unique that each one needs a synthesizer that’s designed to compliment it. That’s why it’s a bit frustrating to plug your expressive controller into a synth that’s designed for a piano shaped controller. For example, most synths don’t have a pressure -> filter knob. So the synth interface on Wiggler is designed to compliment the Wiggler keybed. 2) Small self contained synths like MiniMoog and MicroBrute are such a fun package but sometimes the limited feature set doesn’t stay interesting for a long time. The expressive controller is a nice compliment for a such a synth because it stays fun and interesting for a long time, there’s so much to explore in the expressive playing

Different coloured knobs in the different sections would be cool. I like it, am looking for something different to add to my small studio, something that isn't a subtractive analog and this fits that bill.
